(2018) Carved hard wood The artwork Salah is inspired by the spirituality of prayer. The wooden pieces are traces of energy and notations of the physical movements of Muslim prayers that are practiced every day. The pieces get increasingly smoother the more a person rubs them through repetition and time. This artwork represents peace, unity, and the significance of spirituality in human life, emphasizing the importance of being connected to yourself.
