Concealing & Revealing إخفاء و إظهار

(2018) Mixed media The connections in this work unfold, encompassing distinct contexts through which one can read the human experience in confronting all dimensions of their relationship with the self. “Concealing & Revealing” extends across three layers of this relationship, where materials are fused and reshaped with meanings that delve deeper than the apparent truth of things. The materials used, the execution, and the reception all reflect interactions that contrast and parallel the visible and the hidden in the interpretation. This series is inspired from cultural forms and architectural symbols from Old Jeddah. It is one of the Parallel Reflection series. Exhibited at Center for Art and Public Life, San Francisco, CA, USA.
